Based on the colors of the s-works frame
Nice. What’s the spec?
The bike is a pro-edition. With ultegra di2 ans aerofly handlebars
All you need now is the turbo cotton tyres? Although i love the S-works black and red, I adore my Pro. Especially when you can see the carbon under the blue in decent light.
Do you still get that with your paint job? I think id miss it.
That’s why they are awesome!
Did you ever go through with this? Looking to do the same
Hi All,
I’m trying to determine what size mounting disc brake mounting caliper bolt is needed for the Shimano Dura Ace rear caliper for the SL7?. It appears they come in different sizes based upon chainstay thickness of 20mm, 25mm and 30mm.
Does anyone know which bolt to use or can measure their Sl7’s chainstay thickness with digital calipers?
Any help is much appreciated.
Hi TriSherpa,
Yes, that is what I am looking for, the thickness of the SL7 chainstay! This info is not in the SL7 manual. The chainstay thickness determines which caliper mounting bolt to use. I am trying to see if I have the necessary parts to transfer over from my TCR. If anyone is wondering, the TCR chainstay thickness is also 25mm, so it should use the same mounting bolt.
Thank you very much for taking the time to measure!
Can the sl7 frame work with mechanical shifting?
Brakes and shifting
The Specialized Tarmac SL7 is available only with hydraulic disc brakes (Shimano flat mount standard); there is no rim brake version, not even as a frameset only.
Both the 12r and 10r SL7 versions are compatible with electronic and mechanical shift systems.
I just order a Tarmac SL7 Pro in Force 1x. The shop said they are showing a delivery date the end of May
.
It was a struggle between Di2 or force 1x but I decided to go with Force because I already have Di2 (well not anymore since I sold my bike last night) and wanted to try something differently. I figured I get a power meter and if I want to upgrade to 2x it is not that hard.
Anyways I can’t wait! It was sad to see my other bike go away (2018 Cervelo R3) but I know the Tarmac is gonna be a super fun ride. I haven’t had a Tarmac in almost a decade.
Did you report back? Just bought this same setup and am curious about how it’ll handle climbing. Would love to know what you think.
Has been working great. I don’t miss the granny gear, and I’m not an exceptionally strong guy. I would recommend it to people who ride and appreciate the simpler machine. Happy to give more info if you have specifics you are looking for.
Will there be new colors for Pro di2 models anytime soon? I have been thinking about buying one but don’t like the paint jobs and can’t bring myself getting a matte white/black frameset for that money.
Picked up my Pro Force 1x today.
Whoa…
Tried to get that one but nobody could give me an ETA. One guy said they’re “done for 2021” and will introduce 2022 models end of summer.
Didn’t want to wait that long. Ended up getting the Comp with AXS Rival, and will fit it with Enve wheels and aero bar.
I almost went that route but the shop had one show up online. I called them and they said they were looking at the beginning of June for delivery.
Sold my bike on Thursday ordered this one immediately after and got an email yesterday it was ready for pickup.
I can’t believe how well this thing handles and carves around corners. Also it just holds speed so well it’s crazy. I’ve only had time to for a quick hour loop and new bike day can be deceiving so I’ll see how it rides more this week.
So far I like the 1x but I’m gonna do some climbing and really see how it handles it.
Anybody able to find the Garmin mount for sale anywhere for the integrated handlebars?
Edit: Think I found one in Great Britain.
post some pics!
