I am doing the high volume traditionnal base and today I have to do Koip (2h30 zone 2). However, exceptionnaly, I only have 1h at my disposal today. I was wondering, should I do a 1h sweetspot workout that match the TSS or should I do a 1h zone 2 in order to stay in the same zone.
I would probably do a 1 hour sweet spot ride. It’ll be a bit less TSS, unless you can go over an hour, but I wouldn’t worry much about it. A 1 hour Z2 ride is mostly just for recovery. If you feel like that’s something you need, then you can certainly do that for your daily ride. But otherwise, to get some useful stress out of a short base ride, you’ll want to be up around sweet spot.
