Stupid Things We've Done on the Trainer

I’ve tried parenting from the trainer, often failed.

I’ve also succeeded at trainering in running shoes and jeans (way different than actually training) while drinking a beer and telling the kids to clean the basement before I rode a mile… A whole different type of “how fast can you clean this basement up?” contest. #parentingwin, #recoverymiles

Or the kid comes to tell me everything on his mind and gets mad as I don’t hear what he says. Or can’t answer with more than a grunt.

Shouldn’t everyone that has done Disaster be in this thread?

Along with a couple of 100+ “mile” rides on Zwift. 5+ hours on a trainer is no joke, but it sure is silly. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think anybody who wrenches a lot has done one of those or other equivalents (such as leaving the chain outside the FD fork) at one point.

Dumbest thing I’ve ever done on a trainer???

Gendarme +4 … or Wright Peak +2 – it’s a toss up.

I did 103 miles on a spin bike, alone in a spin class room. It was funny at the end, in a One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest sort of way
