Simple question on the lead up to the Cyclocross specialty plan

For those who have done the cyclocross plan in its entirety, do you believe the short power build is a prerequisite? Or would general build be sufficient?

I’ll be finishing up SSBMV1 & 2, planning build with the specialty being cyclocross. The general build plan looks more attractive for doing sustained climb and some road racing (as C-priority races) but I want to be setup for the most success in the CX plan and races.

Just curious to get everyone’s view on this.
