Re-cabling the bike took 3x longer than normal for some reason. My two “kittens” (almost a year old and getting big, but still have the mindsets of kittens) weren’t much help…

Internet, meet Little Guy.
He looks a bit feisty in the one but he’s just in process of trying to lick all that delicious cat food remains from his face. Kind of like me cleaning the brownie batter from the bowl…
Sadly had to say goodbye to this special guy a few days ago. I did dedicate a run to him and felt a little feisty spirit helping me get up the steep section.

Our previous cat, Claws disappeared last September, probably in the jaws of a fox or marten while we were away for a mountain biking weekend. In November, we decided to let a shelter cat to stay with us. We aren’t letting this one out of the house.

Mai must not have had any human contact while she was young and only traumatic vet visits while at the shelter. We nicknamed her corona cat because she doesn’t let us within 2 meters of her. Here she is watching me warily as I take her picture:
