Today i had a TR scheduled ftp ramp test. I do all my TR rides on zwift indoors on my wahoo kickr.
The ftp test was not available in the training section on zwift and i after a quick search it was recommended to do the ramp test in zwift which i completed.
After uploading my ride and results to TR, strava, etc. it is not recognizing my increased ftp results?”
In fact it is reporting a lower ftp than what i had days previous. I have manually entered my ftp results from the ramp test to my profile but the ai numbers still do not recognize the change.
Is this normal? Should i be concerned with ai ftp prediction or just ignore it?
If you perform the Ramp Test on Zwift, the FTP value won’t automatically transfer over to TR, so manually setting it is the right thing. However, we do recommend you perform the Ramp Test using the TR app as it will update your FTP automatically.
If you’d like to use AI FTP Detection then the Ramp Tests are not necessary as TR will predict your FTP every 28 day + you can see your future AI FTP Prediction. More info here:
