Rouvy syncing with TrainerRoad

Hi all, sorry if this has been asked before (I’ve done a quick search but found nothing too similar).

My primary training device is Garmin / Garmin Connect. I’ve recently registered with Rouvy as I like the realistic climb profiles. I use Rouvy and TR separately, so am not interested in having TR training sessions in the Rouvy system. I would like to treat them as additional/alternative rides, such as if I decided to go for a group ride on the weekend outside my TR workouts.

When I complete a Rouvy ride however, it shows up on Garmin but not on TR. My Rouvy is connected to my Garmin, and my Garmin is connected to TR. I’m not aware that there is an option for Rouvy and TR to officially syncronise. Do you have any tips on having Rouvy rides showing up as completed activities in TR, asides from importing the TCX files.

Thanks in advance!

PS. if there was an option to do TR training sessions in Rouvy in the future (like Zwift), that would be magic!

My Rouvy rides show up in TR but they get pulled in from my Strava feed not Garmin even though I have Garmin connected

Garmin doesn’t forward activities from other platforms to other platforms, i.e. Garmin will push activities recorded in a Garmin device to TrainerRoad, but when Rouvy or some other platform sends a completed activity to Garmin, Garmin won’t send it to TrainerRoad. Strava will do that, though, so I think your best bet is to connect Rouvy to Strava and Strava to TrainerRoad.

Thanks for your reply! I’m not keen on using Strava, so prefer using Garmin as a hub for my data - I’d have thought TR could read rides from third party providers.

It needs to be a two-way conversation, so this would require Rouvy to be on board with this as well as TR.

I’ll let the team know that there is +1 more for Rouvy integration. :+1:

Another vote here for integration with Rouvy. I much prefer the visuals over Zwift, it would be great if we could ride TrainerRoad workouts there :+1:.

Definitely! I used to ride Zwift but it’s artificial visuals are simply not engaging. I’m sure the guys at Rouvy would love to hear from you guys!

Rouvy visuals are nice. I know some people get annoyed by the weirdness when cars move around at weird speeds and odd blurriness you can notice sometimes at the screens edge but it’s very cool being to ride routes around the world.

If TR integrated with Rouvy it seems Rouvy would need to add in that post workout survey

It does get odd, but that’s the cost of using the real world. I have absolutely no engagement in Zwift.

+2 please. Especially now that (apparently?) we can’t scrape .zwo files anymore for upload into Rouvy.

Rouvy still allows the import of the import of .zwo .mcr or .erg files. It would be great to see the option to export your scheduled workouts from TrainerRoad into Rouvy manually as an interim step.

There used to be a Zwift Chrome extension that did this but that no longer works.

I would like to request a native export Workout to file function. This would also allow the import of workout into Head units that are currently not supported like Bryton.
