Replacement Wahoo KICKR power brick

Outside of trying to order one from Wahoo directly, which if you’re not in the US/EU is completely backlogged right now and 3-4mth delay, does anyone know or have a link to a generic power pack with the correct connection that will work for the KICKR?

The power supply is 12VDC 5A, and I believe it uses a 5.5mm x 2.5mm plug.

Something like this would keep you covered:

Thanks!

Should have read your link better. 5.5 x2.5 is what is needed, link was for 5.5x2.1mm
Didn’t work.

The part I linked to has adapters for almost every size including 5.5mm x 2.5mm.

Do you know if the post is positive or negative? Don’t want to fry it. Tha k you.

Center is positive, the outer barrel is negative.

Having just had my power brick replaced under warranty for my KICKR BIKE, does anyone know of a 3rd party one for the KICKR BIKE that I could potentially purchase and have in advance of a similar issue as a spare?

We lost our Kickr power brick/cord when we moved back into the RV full-time.

I plugged in a 15V 3A cord that fit from a ‘Neewer’ branded studio light.

It’s working, but it feels like we have to ride at 20-30% more watts than our computer is telling us we’re actually riding. Can anyone explain this? Wife still has 3 hours to go on a trainer ride.

As in, trainer at 150-160W in erg mode feels like 200W (or maybe more).

Here’s the cord we’re using:

Here’s the spec on the Kickr replacement cord:

Finally, dozens of options on Amazon for replacements; all look sketchy. Recommendations on how to choose?

Or is there another site with OEM replacement that’s not out of stock?

Back when I had a Kickr Bike, I found that the power supply looked almost exactly like the one from a wifi router I had. I remember that because I myself was wondering what would happen if the Kickr brick bricked and I had to wait for a replacement. There are other bricks out there that should work fine. (Just don’t over do the voltage/amperage, they are known to be sensitive to that)

Right to repair is big in my mind, there are other options out there. Good luck.

(My Tacx Neo Smart brick looks like a notebook computer power supply, if that helps)
