Sorry, I’m sure this has been covered but searching didn’t reveal much.
This year, I plan to experiment with using a mixture of TR and Dylan Johnson’s guidance. Therefore, my base phase will look something like this.
Weeks 1-3 - all z2 riding. I’ll pick some TR z2 workouts but won’t follow a plan.
Weeks 4-6 - z2 riding with 1 intensity session (probably sweetspot) per week
Weeks 7-9 - z2 riding with 2 intensity sessions (both sweetspot) per week
My question is, from week 4 onwards, can/should I use plan builder, and just delete the unwanted workouts that I dont want each week? Or should I stay off a plan, and hand-pick sweetspot workouts myself until I’m ready for the build phase? I’m worried that if I do the latter, then PB will try and give me base workouts when I’m ready to start the base phase. My A race is in (May).
I’m sure PB used to ask if you had already completed a base phase, but I can’t see that any more. Maybe I dreamed it?
