I came down with a high fever and chills for 48 hours. I’m doing better now but I’m still weak and shaky. I was to start a build phase on Tuesday but obviously that’s postponed.
Question is should I push all activity out a week and do some basic recovery rides once I’m up for it?
This is what I plan on doing. However there is an event on Saturday and I’m holding my breath I can swing it. I’m at day 2 1/2 and feeling better. The deep chest hacki g when I stand up is quite bothersome .
Thanks – part of my concern was less common sense and how TR handles the “illness” annotation applied over the period of non-riding. It seems like the next immediate ride after illness today was right away a threshold workout, which seemed illogical.
I get that. We don’t ramp you back into training after time off, which would be a really good idea. I’m sure far too many athletes just load up whatever workout is prescribed when they return to training, and oftentimes, it’s probably not the best workout to start out with, like in your case.
I’ll put this in one of the channels for the team to see. I know we’re aware that this could be improved, so hopefully we can put it on our list soon.
