Looked like G helped with Cav’s lead out, what a bro. Super stoked to see Cav at least get one big win in this final season.
And super stoked to not hear another interview from him.
Reporters are just doing there job (generally, especially immediately after a stage). He can’t help himself from spoiling a very memorable moment by being such a defensive nut job.
If I have this right, Derek Gee was second in 4 stages, second for the Sprint Jersey, second for the mountain jersey, second for the intermediate sprint, and second for the Fuga (miles in the breakaway).
Just heard Pinot won KOM which I’m glad off but Gee is second again :-o On the positive they say he needs experience and his team is weak; so I think he’s got room to turn those 2nd’s into 1st’s 
I’m not a G fanboy, but what he did today earned him a ton of respect from me. That was one hell of a “I’m a pretty good human” moment in my eyes.
G did put in a stiff attack at the end of stage 19, where it briefly looked like he had distanced Roglic and might put valuable seconds and time bonuses, but Roglic was stronger than expected and gained time.
Given Roglic’s TT performance early in the Giro, as well as in the climbing data across the Giro, it could be assumed that G and Roglic would be closely matched in the final TT.
Obviously Roglic smashed it, and Thomas second, but a bit too distant to win.
Arensman and De Plus were super strong, G might have had more opportunities to attack or hurt his opponents if Tao and Ganna were still there at the end.

Trek-Segafredo, R.I.P. one of the classiest kits in the peloton. Results may have lacked lately, design of the kit was always top.

Segafredo makes shit coffee for the masses despite the Italian romantic image they cultivate. Between Lidl and Segafredo it probably ends up being a wash… And money wins.

Going back to the Giro and Stage 19 and 20 and Primoz using the 1x setup:
Has anyone heard from Primoz, his DS ,or SRAM regarding the choice?
Has anyone heard from the same about what gear did he use in both stages? On the GCN replay on S19 when G, Almeida, and Primoz where alone during the final push I was able to see that Primoz was not in the larges cog in the rear. Not sure where he was but definatly not in the largest one… I ask as one of the GCN in studio commentators said the 44 in the rear was only to stop the chain from falling off in the rear and getting stuck between spokes and the cassette…?? Did SRAM comment on thae??
And finally, did any of the above comment on what happend when the chain dropped and why?
I would think SRAM would be out there with damage control as I think one of the GCN guys said that wouldn’t happen with a 2x because not as much chain slap?
Okay now the final question why didn’t they team or SRAM NOT put a chain guide if it prevents dropped chains?? Did they comment on that??
