Maybe I am coping as a WvA fan but I read an article last night saying he just got back from his altitude camp literally two days ago. The body needs ~1wk or so to adjust back to sea level so I don’t think Visma (or me) expected anything for him at E3 today - it was just to get him some race experience prior to Flanders/Roubiax when he should be peaking (and hopefully MVDP slowing lol)
I’m hoping that it is all a big dupe, designed to fake out his rivals when he does attack in RVV or Roubaix.
But I’m also a Chicago Cubs fan, so my ability to find ways to cope against reality is vast…
A useful skill for us all lately
If they can have the whole team at the front doing the lead out with Ganna and Tarling right there, that’s as good as they can do. They might still get dropped but at least they’ve got a chance. It’s a valid strategy for a crunch moment even if you aren’t the favourite - they did it into the Cipressa too.
Really haze the coverage I now get… Notblive on eurosport and then they decided to only show the race from the bottom of the kwaremont in the evening…
Unless pogi or Mvdp have a mechanical in important situation Flanders is between them. Nothing Vam Wert showed over the last 2 spring Ng campaigns makes me think he could compete even if he is on shape.
Tour of Catalunya - stage 6 - That was weird. The worlds shortest World Tour stage, 25 km. Shortened because of high winds and confusion about course options.
Mads is making this look easy in Gent-Wevelgem.
Some interesting tactics on the last day of Catalunya. but tactics will only get you so far if you can’t keep up, as Primoz shows a reminder that even without to TdF victory, he is a beast.
Final stage of catalunya is one of the most reliably exciting stages of the year. Right up with the final day of Paris nice
Love watching them race around that Barcelona circuit🥰
I’ve stubbornly resisted Flo subscription because of the way they treated me previously with spoilers and coverage
With Max now requiring the upgrade to access cycling in the US I need to reconsider ending my long meaningless boycott
Is Flo + vpn a complete coverage package for race coverage?
I just checked and I could still pull up older races and I have not been asked to upgrade my account (have Max through my cable package), not has there been any announcement that I am aware of.
When did you see a change?
Sent via an email a couple weeks back. Would not apply if you’re already getting the higher level package I assume
Yeah, I since I get MAX through my cable provider, I don’t think it applies to my tier.
Back to your question re: Flo + VPN, I can’t say for sure that it will cover everything, but I just glanced at the schedule and it has all the upcoming races listed….Dwars, Schledepris, Flanders, Roubaix, etc….so it seems like you may be covered. Dunno about the Giro or some of the Italian races, though.
I think with a VPN people were saying you could get everything by being from Canada
Hoping to hear from a current Flo subscriber to confirm this is still possible🤞
Just checked the full schedule, as well as what replays are available and it looks like you would have almost everything covered with Flo and a VPN. The only race that was missing appeared to be Strade Bianche.
Thanks, yeah that’s what I see as well. It comes down to if they’ve implemented better region control for VPN which is why I’m hoping to hear from someone doing it already
I use VPN to get their coverage for ASO races because Peacock is awful and I have had no issues getting in when I needed to.
Beautiful! Thank you for confirming! Guess I’ll finally break the boycott
Use Nord as a VPN. I had been using SurfShark and over the last 6 months or so my ability to get content in other regions was limited, at best. I assumed everyone was dealing with the same. @Power13 noted he was able to watch a race a few weeks back that I couldn’t view and he noted he was using Nord - I switched to nord as VPN provider as my initial 2 year term was ending 4/7 anyways and now I can see everything and am not resigned to listening to Christian and Bobke on peacock (although I’m not nearly as down on them as the others here).
