Need suggestion for a road cycling destination for this July. Planning on 5 days cycling followed by 3-4 days sightseeing and R&R. The future Mrs. is all in on this — our first date was a 65 mile ride and we did a Backroads trip together this past summer. Hoping to find a place we can easily find great routes and eat great food. Rolling hills okay but no major climbs. Suggestions?
Italy would be my suggestion for a destination.
For trips, I did the Ciclismo Classica Sea to Sea trip across the width of Italy. The trip was well organized, and it was setup so there were no transfers. We got up in the morning, rode out our hotel, and ended the day at the next hotel.
Where are you based; how far are you willing to travel? You could go cycling in the Okanagan and hit up the wineries/Vancouver/the Rockies afterwards.
Looks great! Will look into that for sure. Thx.
July is Tour de France time, you could end your honeymoon in Paris!
