one thing to clarify how many ounces of drink do you consume per hour…. the gatorade is mixed per recommendation in 12 oz, so if you drink the whole 12 oz you get 150 mg sodium, if you want to up it to 300 (assuming you drink 12 oz per hour you could add 0.44g of table salt (sodium chloride) to that drink, (you will not taste it at that low a concentration, if you want to go to sodium citrate to get the added 175 mg sodium you need about 0.75g. a good source for defining what you need is a site by an authority on hydration run by Dr. Alex Harrison called Saturday. They do the math for you.
