Newbie question about running an training plans

Hello, I’ve been on TR for a little over a month and enjoying it a lot. Mostly picking up my own workouts. I tried TrainNow but in the end it seems that the recommendations don’t resonate with me. I’m thinking to give the training plans a go, but I’m also looking forward to alternate some runs in a month or two as my plantar fasciitis seems to be improving. The question is: what happens if one day instead of the scheduled ride I go for a run? How does the plan behaves if I don’t execute a workout? Also, should I delete it from the calendar? Thanks!!!
