🎉🎉🎉 New Early Access Feature: Import and Analyze Runs in TrainerRoad! 🎉🎉🎉

I had to remove the multisport activity because it was recognized as a duplicate, but with this I was able to import the bike. Thanks!

I didn’t fully see the whole thread, maybe this was noted above…

I see my TSS for a Triathlon this weekend is way off (as if my peak power chart and PRs).

I run with a Stryd sensor so my FIT files have power included. It looks like the calendar shows a single activity for my Tri, but it includes the entire duration of the race and is considering the run power as cycle power.

You can see it in my screenshot too, IF 1.29 over 5h30. Seems to be a known limitation.

Any progress on this @dominikrymsza ?

We’re currently making a push on some other Run related milestones, will be circling back to the TSS when we tie this up. Apologies for the delay! When we do start addressing it, it should take too long to get into production.

So I’ve been trying to get my runs appear in TrainerRoad web UI but I suspect in my case they don’t get synced at all from Strava. Is there something specific that activity have to have in order to sync it? Or should they come from somewhere else directly, not Strava?

If you have enabled the option for “Import and Display Runs” under “Early Access” on your account (Web only i think), they should appear automatically.

If not, enable that first, and then contact support if they do not appear (no backlog, only future runs at the moment). IMHO.

I started treadmill running last week, I had two Zwift Runs synched across into TR via Strava.

Probably not many TR users doing virtual runs but still, worth knowing it comes across.

Aand seems like things are visible in my calendar now, maybe I was just blind earlier (:

An oddity - which doesn’t impact anything much, other than my confusion levels, but there seems to be something weird going on here.

Check the name of these runs on Strava and Garmin.

Strava has them both as ‘Afternoon…’. On Garmin they’re just ‘Cycling’ and ‘Running’. It’s only when it’s been pulled in to TR that it’s made the unorthodox decision that the evening comes before the afternoon. :person_shrugging:

It would be nice if TR would add support for syncing with Intervals.icu (https://intervals.icu). TR could pull runs / bike rides from there. It’s my goto place rather than Strava. And I think intervals.icu is fairly popular here, at least I’ve seen others using it.

According to the start times and durations, at 6pm you were simultaneously riding your bike and running. I must admit, I never considered that in my quest to get faster at triathlons.

Could it be something related to your timezones on Strava and Garmin?

Ahhhh - I see there is a bigger bug here now, which I hadn’t noticed before. This was recorded as a multisport (bike then run) activity on the Garmin - for some reason it’s imported the whole thing as a bike ride, and then the run portion as a separate run! (Which still doesn’t explain labelling it as evening, but does mean there’s something I need to throw at support.)

Yeah, multisport support is still, shall we say, suboptimal

Looks like TR is now calculating TSS on runs. Really pleased to see this. The calculation feels right. If I compare a bike workout to a run workout of the same intensity the TSS is about the same. Also seems to be in the same ball park as Intervals.icu. For a long easy run on Wednesday Intervals.icu gave it a TSS of 61 and TR gave it a TSS of 64. For a track intervals session on Monday, Intervals.icu gave it a TSS of 44 and TR a TSS of 40.

Hope it is not too long before we get the same for swims too!

I can’t believe I’m JUST seeing this now…as a triathlete, I’m loving this new (to me) feature.

I tried looking through post for the past couple of months, but didn’t see the answer.

Has the feature been figured out to upload previous run history, or is it still only after you activate 'early access"?

Thanks!

You got a higher TSS score for an easy run rather than intervals?

As of yesterday, run history you still have to upload your runs manually and are not automatically sync’d. New runs sync automatically. Not sure about TSS but I believe it is scored based on how you score the intensity of your run? I don’t see any TSS for older runs that are uploaded, only new ones.

Easy to do: just make your “long easy” run long enough. For example: I get about 10 TSS for each kilometer I run, and about 60 TSS per hour of interval speedwork at the track, so any run over 6km will post higher TSS than a one-hour interval session.
