Matching a workout with 2 activities?

I was running Zwift while doing todays workout and ending up recording two different rides on Zwift. These have been synced via Strava and one of them has been matched with the workout. But not the other one - is there a way to have two activities matched to one workout?

I guess it won’t make a difference to the plan, but it just annoys me, because the extra ride makes the calendar show more TSS than I have actually done. (The total workout was 92 TSS, one activity of 58 and one of 34 - the workout shows 92, but then there is an additional activity showing 58, so it looks like a lot more than it is…)

If you click on a completed ride and hit the edit icon I think you can choose not to have the TSS (and PRs) counted in your totals.

Not sure if that helps or not.

Yes, that helped, thanks - now my TSS is correct again. It might be silly but incorrect data just bothers me…

It’ll take a bit of jiggery pokery but you export the Zwift rides from Strava, join them in something like Gotoes, and re-import them as a single ride in strava to match to TR. If the two rides are completely different maps it’ll probably give you an ugly straight line to join them.

Combine FIT, GPX, CSV or TCX files for Garmin or Strava. Merge Heart Rate Power and GPS (gotoes.org)

Excluding the ride from you TSS calculation as @Helvellyn suggested is probably the easiest option for you.

If you are looking to combine those files, FitFileTools is another option for you.
To use FitFileTools for combining two actives, you’d need to do the following:

  • download the .fit files from Zwift,
  • use the file combiner tool to combine them,
  • delete the imported Strava rides,
  • manually import the newly combined ride and associate that to the TrainerRoad activity.

That can be tricky so if you ever need a hand, the team at support@trainerroad.com will gladly do that for you!
