Let's see your paincave!

Your legs are going up and down like pistons?

You could be on a tricycle and still get a good workout!

I know the feeling of taking the bike on and off the trainer… if there is any situation to have a “permanent” setup…

Go for it!

This is my setup, a small house type without a typical paincave. I am especially happy with my storage solution.

Sorry for the quality, sun did not make it easy.

With the spare / gym room I had now being overtaken by the wife to run her beauty / massage business from, I’ve been relegated to the garage… step 1 - prepare the space

I never looked at it that way until now! Haha. Promise all I do is ride my bike in this area!

I dream of having a dedicated training room with an oversized AC unit so Australian summers are tolerable. It’s hard to ride the trainer when its 30C (even with fans!).

I hear you on that one…

There may be a marginal gain, but it’s really super marginal. To put it another way - if the hassle has ever led you to miss a workout, it’s definitively better just to leave the MTB on there.

We get up to 40C here in Texas during the summer, and I can confirm that AC is necessary.

My wife is just setting up a beauty business too! I don’t have a garage but she lets me use a corner of the lounge now (the lounge is big enough it doesn’t get in the way)!

that’s what anyone with a murder room/pain cave would say…

Mine is, have another 8 weeks to go. Gonna need to re-cloth my snooker table when this is all over.

Updated pics of my room after a tidy and a small freshen up.

Would you be willing to share the plans you used to make your rocker plate?

I didn’t have plans that I particularly followed but got ideas from Chad Mcnese’s Facebook group “Rocker Plates”. I just used a PVC pipe I had laying around as my pivot point and attached the top plate to it with a few screws. Started with tennis balls for a couple minutes but then stole some of my kids fischer price basketballs for adjustment  If you need me to share the drawing/measurements of the actually plate, let me know and I can send it to you. Here is a couple pictures:

Thanks for sharing! Seems like a simple but great design. The drawing/measurements of the plate would be much appreciated. Thanks again!
