Let’s see some Tri/TT rigs

Wanted post as a reply to one of mine from 2019, not sure why it came up as a new one.
Basically, I repainted the Cannondale Slice 2008 I posted then.
And yes, red makes it faster😂

Here’s the original post.

In a thread full of superbikes, that Cannondale is probably gonna be under the radar, but that is really well done. Solid frame well-adorned with great component choices.

And it is red….that gets you 5W minimum.

Nice job!!

Great looking bike. I like the rear disc too. Looks great. I wish specialized ended the rear resovior at the top tube height. Beautiful paint though.

Massive thread dredge, how light did you get your Shiv in the end?

In a complete 180° reversal, I am now contemplating a project as to how light I can make mine and the most difficult area I suspect is the front end in terms of weight saving. Already have some 2nd hand Ti Ascalons.

Any thoughts? I know you are since now on a P5…?

Different Shiv owner here, but I got mine under 8kg with Roval CLX32 training wheels this summer. In the race setup, as in the picture, it’s obviously a little heavier. There would be some tiny margins by going for Dura Ace Brake-Calipers and Rear Derailleur, both those are not worth the weight-saving vs. cost for me currently.

Never lighter than this. The 7.9 has road bike tires on, so with TT tires it’s probably just sub 7.8kg.

Really nice, you got the integrated seatpost!

Looong time ago I posted in this thread, so time to update  Really happy with this machine!

Yes, it’s really incredible how light it is. And it’s, after recommendations from a local TT guy, the one for heavier riders.

Heavier riders, you say? Maybe I should look at getting one for my Shiv TT. I’m already on the Dash Stage saddle, which I love.

They have a sub85kg category and from 85 to 100kg.
I was told, after speaking to a very knowledgeable guy from my area who also has/had the combo, that he had issues with the version for lighter riders and he would recommend going for the heavier option as it is still plenty light. I weigh 70kg myself as reference. Not sure what the weight difference of the saddle+post combo is between the two versions they offer.

Yeah, I had their 85-100kg TT saddle previously, since I’m actually around 93kg. I’ll definitely look into the combo since I’ve been itching to upgrade something on my bike for a while. Thinking about the Wattshop basebar too. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
