Let’s see some Tri/TT rigs

Btw…here’s mine as it sits today (including the punctured rear).

Still have the TroikaMax, but bought the Titan for really still or 0 yaw low wind days.

Those Rotor with P2M look so neatly integrated. Lovely bike. Any issues with the Powermeter so far, do you have any insight on the accuracy?
Also, I see many people use white valve covers on the TITAN. How come? Did you simply lose the original one, or is there some other reason?

The white valve covers is a “race option” that do not require the screw, I painted mine black :innocent:

@RJones07 I use my Titan for all winds, plenty stable! (I would have belived the Troikamax to be more wind sensitive)

Looks great. Get those covers for the bolts on you chainring. Much smoother.

Interesting. I also dont use the screw, I just tape the original cover so it stays in place. Is the white one from Aerocoach, or someone made a file to print them? If its the later, could you give me a hint on where to find it?

It’s an Aerocoach original:

Looks great… sub 4 bike split?

Cheers but not even close
My best bike split is a 4:28 at IM Itlay this year. It’s a pretty fast course but even the fastest guy on the day went 4:06
Have done a 100mi TT (only 1) and went 3:42, so 27mph. Need 28mph for a sub 4hr Ironman bike split :exploding_head:

Very impressive! I enjoy the longer rides, but not the swimming before and running after!

I’m taking a break from road/TT racing for awhile and just want to focus on doing rides I enjoy and not worrying about confirming to rules. I often do longer TT rides (100ish) miles and decided to fill in the void on my aero bars to hold things like food, phone, whatever. It might also be more aero considering it’s common on the IM pro setups albeit that’s not personally confirmed. Please don’t bash it too much, this was my first attempt!

Yup, I forgot to check the option when I bought the ring. I’m just waiting until I have a larger order to place from Aerocoach before I buy them, so I don’t have to pay a ridiculous amount for shipping bolt covers only to the US.

I keep meaning to paint the valve cover black, or switch back to the standard bolted one, but I’m lazy lol.

@Roadrunner, I was just going off the Revolver test data for their own 100mm wheel that shows that it’s faster than the TroikaMax from 0-5 deg, but TM is faster > 5 deg. I’m a big guy (188cm/95kg), so I don’t generally have a problem with either wheel in wind.

Re the P2Max: I haven’t had any issues thus far other than spotty calibration through my headunit (sometimes it fails calibration randomly). Accuracy wise, it seems about on par with my other pms (Quarq), but I haven’t done any dual logging or anything to test. I also have a track pursuit bike with the same P2Max/Rotor setup (pictured below)

What have you made this from?
Looks like a plastic or something.
It seems to have some thickness to it, unlike carbon or fibreglass.

I have been considering doing the same.
As you say, the mono bar’s are being used on most of the fast bikes in Tri.
Eyeball aero makes a lot of sense. Try guide the air around the shoulders

Thank you, much appreciated, I knew those photos with scales in them were somewhere in this thread but failed to find…impressive weight!

Am picking up the frameset this week and got to move 9200 over and roughly dial in fit/wait for Ascalon adapters to turn up. It’s all getting very real/exciting, haven’t had a new bike let alone TT bike for over 5 years.

From the structure it looks a lot like Kydex to me. Its a easy to use thermoplastic

I made it from a 12x12 .08 thick sheet of Kydex. I put it in the oven and formed it on the bars. It’s strong enough to support a few small items. At the moment it’s only connected using Velcro but I need to add something else because I’m afraid of it falling when I’m 50+ miles from home.
