Kickr '15 AXS compatibility

I know this was a “no go” when AXS first came out, but hoping something has changed that I haven’t been able to find.

Anyone know if there is a way to fit a 12 speed SRAM Force AXS bike on a 2015 kickr?

For clarity, there are Kickr models for 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

From yours, I would expect you to have the '14 model.

I did some quick searching and didn’t find any specific solution for AXS road 12-speed.

The XDR that Wahoo makes is stated only for use with the Kickr 2018 and Core models. I don’t see another option on their site either.

Yep, I’ve got the original model that was released in 2014. The thing has been a workhorse and I’ve never had an issue so I don’t want to part with it.

Contemplating new bike with AXS build, but doesn’t seem to be an option to pair it up with my Kickr.

Serious first world issue here…

I use other smart trainer but use Force AXS on my bike,
it’s fir with R7000 11s r7000 cassette and it’s works well,
from 1~11 gear is same distance with 12s cassette,
just need to avoid biggest gear of rear derailleur,
I usually on ERG mode that works very good and no need spend money on XDR freehub and 12s cassette

Hi @Titic_Huang - how have you found the wear on your chain? @shawrx I am now in exactly the same sitation so keen to see if there is any further feedback on running an 11 speed on a 12 speed AXS in ERG.

@Andybrunton I ended up getting a new Kickr that works with 12 speed.

I’ve got 3 SRAM 12 speed bikes now so figured it was worth it just to make it compatible with everything.

Ah ok, understood. Really don’t want to have a new bike and new trainer purchase in the same month ideally!!

Hi @Andybrunton , I’m joining the club of trying to run an AXS equipped bike on a Kickr '14. Did you end up finding a solution?

Really sorry only just seen this. Decided against putting the time machine on the trainer and procured an old aluminium frame that just sits on it. So I have no compatibility issues.
