Issue with SRAM eTap AXS: right shifter won’t shift reliably

Having worked perfectly for a year my Right SRAM shifter has suddenly become intermittent. Some times it cuts out for a few seconds but sometimes it can be 5 or 10 minutes of no response.

it’s not consistent enough to take it to a mechanical because it will suddenly work for hours and then drop out again.

If it’s been a year+ since the shifter batteries have been swapped, definitely put in some fresh batteries. You don’t have to take it to a mechanic, they are user-serviceable batteries that can be swapped in a couple minutes. I swap mine out once a year whether they need it or not, it’s easy and cheap insurance.

Problem resolved I think, the gold pins that touch the battery were a little too compressed in the right shifter. I’ve bent them up a little and it seems to have fixed the issue but time will tell.
