Long time TR and Zwift user, but just tried my first TR workout in Zwift last week. It worked fine, but there was nothing on the standard screen that showed my average power for the interval in real time. Right or wrong, it’s something I like to watch and I’m usually aiming to end the interval w/ AP very close to the target power (particularly for long steady state intervals). I know there are some alternate views in Zwift and I haven’t played with them yet, was hoping someone can tell me it does or doesn’t exist before I spend time looking. Thanks.
Avg interval power is not natively available within Zwift during a workout (whether it’s a TR workout or any other workout). You might visit the Zwift Forum and search there, though, as I believe thus has been requested in the past.
Zwift recently added “splits" (laps/intervals). You just press new split and it records time and avg power, I’m not sure if it works in workouts though. But you can also record laps using Zwift sauce.
or just have your Garmin Head Unit running as well - and remember to push the lap button at interval start and finish - just don’t save the ride from the Garmin at the end or you’ll get duplicates on strava and TR.
Thanks. Yeah, that’s what I did. Just a bit of a pain watching 2 screens and having to reach for the computer at the start of every interval. Sounds like there is no way to get this in Zwift. Not a huge deal, just surprised it’s not there. I can’t imagine why that wouldn’t be a core feature of any interval-based workout.
Zwift makes a lot of baffling design decisions. Not having the splits feature or the new HUD available during workouts is one of them.
