Is the desktop app slowing down?

Lately after I finish a workout my desktop app can take 10-15-20 minutes or even permanently get a loading screen. If I go to the browser it looks like the plan is updating and info being pushed to the server but my desktop is stuck until I force close and restart to “pull” a sync in.

Also not related I’m typing on my phone and it was really difficult to start a thread. The banner at the top of google chrome covered the new thread pencil in the corner.

I have not had any issues. Have you covered the basics. Restart computer, phone, router. Test internet connection speeds. Clear browser cashe. Could also be a dns server issue with your provider.

It’s been going on for a few weeks—probably not provider. Probably just need to reinstall the app

No desktop issues but haven’t done a workout this week.

But I am having the issues in chrome on my phone where if the keyboard is up I can’t see the first couple lines of the text box.

Let us know how reinstalling the app goes! That should resolve the issue, as reinstalling it clears up any corrupted data that may be causing your issue.

As far as your second forum issue goes, this may be a browser thing between phone/desktop user experience. Normally, it’s easier to navigate websites on a computer.

When my old Laptop was slowing down I had problems like that but none since I replaced it 3 or 4 years back

The overall performance of the Desktop App is not really fast. I have an older Laptop (6 or 7 years old, but i7 and 16gb RAM), ok, but the app should not use that much system ressources.

The loading time is sometimes so slow, that i switch to the Android Phone with a much smaller screen.

I uninstalled and re-installed the TR desktop app but unfortunately it’s still loading extremely slowly. Any time it needs to adapt the plan, the desktop is still taking forever to the point that I end up just closing the app and restarting it. Using the web browser isn’t bad at all, though. For computer specs, I have a 2023 Lenovo Ideapad 5. 240GB free on the drive. 12GB RAM.

FWIW it’s super slow for me too. Apple m1 pro on sequoia.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

startup time, time to load a workout, and basically all actions are super slow.

Have you tried clearing your app data? You can do that right from the app.
