Yes, you have to add it on the web (but you can do it from your phone). Weāve got an updated desktop app coming soon that will allow you to do it from that, then well add it to mobile.
Doing what youāre asking would be more complex then what weāre doing now and would have pushed this out a bit.
That being said I think itās a good idea and I think we will do it.
Absolutely! Will do.
Iām doing all outdoor workout by uploading workout in my element bolt head unit.
You need to upload in your phone a *.plan version of the workout. Once the phone is synced, you can access it.
To create the *.plan version of the workout might be a bit tricky if youāre not used to conputer/programming.
This is a great feature.
I tried to add Tallac 4 but when I changed it to outside the ride got changed to Sylvania. Just a Beta bug?
Not a bug, the indoor workouts and outdoor workouts different sets of workouts. Several indoor workouts may map to a single outdoor one and the outdoor workout is seldom exactly the same as its indoor counterpart.
In this case the indoor workout named Tallac +4 is mapped to the outdoor workout named Sylvania.
Wait, what?
Is this a thing now, a slip of the fingers, or just a typo?
Not a typo. It will happen as Wahoo sent an email about increased 3rd party app partners.
Pics from the email:
Donāt get me wrong, it wasnāt fun. I was cooked by the end. I just had my clock, power, 3 s average, heart rate, and the junction workout written down on my stem. The sprints were tough, but way more value in doing them outside than in.
Damnit, @Jhow. Now I have to take harder workouts outside.
When you say āset correctly in Garminā, where exactly are you setting it? Make sure it is set correctly on the head unit itself as well as on Garmin Connect. In the past, Connect did not sync its value w/the head unit. Maybe that is different now, but that is the first thing I would check.
I have faith you can do it! I only do them when the weather is super nice and wind is pretty mellow. Also when I want to mix in a lot of z2 afterwards.
I have no doubts you will get faster quicker if you do a week or two of workouts outside. Itāll be harder, but itāll pay dividends when it matters.
So hereās my attempt at doing Swainās Lane. Not easy as I donāt have many long stretches nearby and itās a bit rolling. The intervals were definitely easier to keep to power targets on slightly uphill gradients. Still felt like I had a good workout (much more structured that usual outside) and just about hit the TSS.
Notice that the head unit is a wahoo element bolt, in the market for a new computer. Interested in your thoughts. Thanks!
Wow! This is awesome @mcneese.chad Thank you.
