Not sure if this is an issue for anyone else as I haven’t been through the whole thread but my Survey Responses that I put in at the end of my ride on the PC app do not show up when looking at my workouts on the web or on the iPhone app. Just shows ā€œMissing Responseā€.

Common issue. If possible, leave the TR app open a bit and it should populate to the web. There is some amount of delay, and if you refresh the web after some time, it usually shows the actual response.

Don’t be too sad. I’ve spent more time reporting inconsistencies to Support than I have enjoying AT. It might be great someday, but it isn’t yet. The only reason I’m sticking with it is because my actual race goals (and need to be fit) have fallen through this summer.

It’s just meant to categorize any outside activity that isn’t a TrainerRoad workout pushed to Garmin or Wahoo head unit.
Big picture: regardless of what those rides look like in their execution, we are working towards AT identifying the work done in that ride, categorizing the progressions and levels, and adjusting future workouts if merited. This applies to things like ā€˜race rides’ and hard group rides as well, accounting for this stuff is super important, so you’re covered there! :v:

@PhilSJones sounds to me that, in the interim, you could create a custom workout in WorkoutCreator to closely match your purposeful outside ride and then match it when you get back. AT should give you credit for your work.

Thanks, that would be great @IvyAudrain . So purposeful and ā€œlooseā€ outdoor rides both get categorised. Perfect. Boy you have a lot to do  Keep up the good work.

I’m sorry if this has been answered before but I haven’t seen the exact answer in the last several hundred posts. I’m aware that AT and wahoo outdoor TR rides are not working correctly. So my question is in regards to whether accept adaptions after completion of both my weekend TR workouts outside and recorded with a bolt?

I’m thinking that since they are not being recognized correctly right now I shouldn’t let it adapt after these workouts? Rather, I’ll accept adaptions only after indoor workouts until this is fixed or for other reasons. However, that may be wrong. Any insight here?

I put up a new vlog on a preview of short power build HV, definitely no where to go but up given how skewed my progression levels toward endurance (not captured is my 5hr century, so basically a level 10) and sweet spot 10. Interestingly, vo2 isn’t being scaled down to my current level (though I did get some adaptations keeping the level lower than the current plan), but threshold is dropped considerably from the stock plan. No complaints from me lol

Note: I am not part of AT beta yet (plz add me TR, I will sacrifice something if required)

Thanks for this vid, it’d be great to see how AT adapted your previous base plans, are you at all able to share your calendar (screenshot or whatever) for your base weeks and what plans? To compare to the stock plans.

Reason being is I’ve just finished SSBHV1, and ran my own ā€˜bushmans-AT’ the entire time to scale up progression more quickly, so keen to see how that stacks up against AT.

This is an ugly timing bug that TR support is aware of and working on - I’ve been conversing with TR support. The solution that is working for me at the moment is to quit the TR App, and then re-launch it. So far, upon re-launch my survey response gets sync’d and immediately shows up on the web

I’ve been able to reproduce this in both the Windows and Mac beta apps

If I change my FTP manually, after doing an FTP test outside or on another platform, are my level adjustments the same as if I had performed the ramp test?

It should be the case that it is treated the same, but some users have reported that manually changing FTP has resulted in their levels resetting to 1.0. That is a bug as far as we know, so if you do encounter it, shoot an email to support@trainerroad.com.

Per the known and resolved issues list, this has been fixed (you have to scroll all the way down to resolve issues progression levels).

well I’d recommend checking out my earlier videos because (especially earlier on) I have compared my AT plan to the stock plans. But I’d also caution against using any one person’s progression as one’s own. I think the thing with AT is that ultimately few plans will be identical among many people. I got progressed to level 10 for sweet spot, but I may not get progressed as much as some others in vo2, and someone else may have an opposite experience. Anyhow, I realize this is shameless self-promotion, but I really would check out my entire video series, the intent is to give folks an idea of one person’s progression

True, but I’ve seen some users posting on the forum in the past couple weeks experiencing this bug still, so if it is something they experience, it’s important to get it sent to support.

Sorry mate, I haven’t posted on this forum much and don’t/didn’t know how to find other posts, I tried before posting but didn’t find it for some reason, however I did look again just now and found the ā€œposted in this threadā€ button which worked a treat.

Thanks heaps for those vids, I’m going through now and watching on a week-by-week basis but that is exactly what I was after. Thanks again.

Hello! I needed to shorten my workout today for life demands, so I started looking for alternates to Coco on my browser. I saw that Ochsenhorn was a 4.3 Vo2 (vs the 4.4 Vo2 of Coco), so I was going to use that. Then, I opened the app on my Mac to actually replace the workout. On the Mac app, I looked for 60 minute, productive alternates to Coco, and Ochsenhorn was missing from the list. I noticed that Mount Deborah was an option, and it looks like this:
Screen Shot 2021-06-17 at 9.15.55 AM
Notice the level is 4.4. When I look at Mount Deborah on the browser, it looks like this:

Notice that the level is 4.9.

I’m sure this is not expected behavior, but I’m curious if there’s a simple solution to this or if I’m missing something? Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks!

I know mismatched Workout Levels between the Web and TR App was a known issue, and may or may not be solved. You can email support@trainerroad.com so they can check.

On your substitution goal, the best approach now is to open the TR app, open your planned workout, and activate the ā€œAlternatesā€ tab. There you can set a desired Duration or Intensity, the quickly offers a filtered list of workouts with the same goals of your planned workout. You can pick your desired substitute and Replace it right there.

Here are some screen shots showing the intro of the tool.

Got my second covid shot earlier this week and totally feel like crap…but what makes me really pissed is that I am screwing up my adaptive training. Since opening a peanut butter jar is hard I am thinking falling off a bike would be the best I could expect from trying to train. AT is probably going to punish me when I am able to get back on the bike!

Use the ā€œIllnessā€ option in the Annotations on the calendar to set a time range that covers your current sickness. It should trigger some changes to the Plan Builder on your calendar at the least. Not sure how AT handles it other than it will apply a decay rate to Progression Levels as you spend time away from training.
