Nah, I realised it was a pisstake as soon as I hit reply… sometimes hard to tell though!
Sarcasm is lost on folks in this thread. Obvi no one could do 30 min @ 200% FTP.
Well, pure text tends to fall short far too often without any indicators like ‘/s’ or emojies.
As with any communication, it’s best to be more than clear on intention (particularly in a text-only format like this), even if it means ‘killing’ a joke. Otherwise, count on misinterpretation as a near guarantee.
I thought it was funny
I was hoping at least one person would. Was also hoping someone would come back to this thread with a ride-report detailing how they attempted 30 minutes @ 200%.
I’m still trying to wrap my head around Big Swinging Dick or whatever that ride was called 130% is more than enough for me to cope with it seems.
2 hours at IF>1 is supposed to be impossible so hard to blame the ML model for marking it at “infinity”
Given the amount of totally mental stuff people post in all seriousness, it’s pretty hard to tell sometimes…
Not really. IF is based on NP and NP is very bad on any efforts shorter than 30s. 2h over 1 IF is impossible on a steady state effort. 2h with sprinting will skew IF metric. That is why you never should setup your FTP on a if metric from road race with many short, sharp efforts.
Yes. Guilty. Lesson learned. With my newly adjusted (lower) FTP it’s been going much better than when I had it set to what I thought it was.
ALTHOUGH, WKO does have my mFTP as 3w less than my NP for that race.
Thing is, that VO2max work I created is taken directly from an actual lab study which saw regular people do that protocol for 7 days in a row; all participants completed all the workouts.
It’s just a number.
