I have not been able to create a training plan with a Balanced approach. When I select balanced, it just gives me an error and I’m unable to complete the training plan. The support team who stopped responding, told me to select a different approach, edit it to Balanced, then proceed. That allowed me to create a plan, but did not allow me to change it to balanced. It also is not giving me run and swim workouts, even though I have a triathlon as one of my events for the training plan. Anyone have any solutions?
Not sure on the balanced part but I’m pretty sure just adding a tri as a b or c event with an a bike race is just going to give you a bike plan and a tape for your event.
If you want a tri plan then the final a race for the plan needs to be the tri and then do another plan for after that for just the bike stuff.
What happens when you try?
Yes: there is no Approach for tri plans, there is Volume.
Delete your plan, clear the calendar. Start a Custom plan.
Add your tri event.
Choose your Volume,
Etc.

I should have clarified: I have both bike races and triathlons coming up so need a training plan that can give workouts for both.
I get this error.
Do you have more than one A race? Unsure of the warning if you attempt it but they no longer allow that.
No, I only have one A race which is in April then my triathlon (a 70.3) is in September which is a B race.
I believe that my issue is a technical issue since it keeps giving me that error.
Thank you!
I would definitely make those 2 different plans, even if that is not the direct cause of the problem.
I just tried that but got the message: Plans can’t run concurrently.
Just need to fix the dates. Plan 1 runs until a week after your April a race. Plan 2 starts the next week.
Looks like you figured it out! But, yes, you can’t run a tri-plan with a non-tri plan together or 2 A Events in one plan. Creating two is the solution.
