Earlier today I removed a triathlon race from my plan, and when prompted if I wanted to update my plan, I said yes since I now wanted that weekend to be populated with normal workouts as opposed to an opener on Saturday and a race on Sunday.
As I was trying to do this, I received the error “Your events include both triathlon and non-triathlon disciplines. All events in a plan must be the same type. Remove or change events so they all match.” I opened a chat, and eventually received confirmation that “Now it is not possible to have cycling and triathlon events in the same plan, different event types require their own separate plans.”
Now, I’ve been using TR to plan my years like this for a decade or more. I primarily do triathlon, but each summer there is sometimes some road racing or MTB mixed in. Now, despite these other disciplines being on my calendar, I cannot update my plan because it will no longer accept the other disciplines.
Has anyone else encountered this? Does anyone know why this change was made? How is anyone else handling this sort of issue?
My guess would be that you’ve deleted your A race so the plan no longer has an A race associated, and/or you are trying to replace the A race with a cycling event - don’t do tha
Instead just edit the plan, change the type and event there
I am facing same issue… I am using pc web to create the plan… I have no idea how to add some cycling events in the middle of triathlon plan… I can create plan1(triathlon), plan2(cycling), plan3(triathlon) but this means that I have a complete stop of swimming and running in the second plan and I shouldn’t. This was a regression from the previous version… Old plan will work if not updated but as soon you remove it or update will stop work… This is a RED flag for me…
I think it’s behaving as expected for you. You don’t have openers for your B race, and you’ve scheduled a race on the same day as a workout. I’m not expecting anything to be added.
As a C race this is something you just do in your normal training schedule. We’re you expecting it to replace the workout, or change your training to be cycling focussed?
