How many hours have you guys done this year so far on the bike?

Massive numbers!

Interesting that you rode almost 3 times more than me with less climbing. Are you riding mostly indoor?

This is my first year. I really don’t target any # of hours for the week, it seems that I ended up averaging 5h/week.

Thanks for your insight, one more question.

Depress me with your w/kg…

Will be +|- 500 hours by year end.

Mostly cycling with 2-3 hours a week weightlifting year round. Have recently started walking 30-60 min a day with wife and dogs but haven’t added that into the files yet.

April-May-June were big months. Car traffic was light so did a lot of road riding. When cars came back I headed for the trails

Workout streak will hit 400 days in a row next week.

Where is the 2021 goals thread?

475 so far … but probably won’t break 500 for the year. December is typically a light riding month for me.

Honestly, I guess not that impressive (given my training volume and history). This is one of the flipsides of riding (too) much. Great diesel, though. Age and heavy bones do not work in my favour. That’s why I’m into looong racing.

However, I could not really tell you, I rarely do all out efforts.

I’m currently at 191. Been a rough year - lots of stress from COVID (though no positive tests in my househould, thankfully) and grad school work along with a full-time job. Hopefully next year will be back up in the 350-450 range where I’ve been before.

I feel inadequate over here with my 143h

Seeing my swim time makes me a bit depressed though… i had about 9 hours logged for the first 2 months of masters swim of the year and then nothing else… i really wonder how much progress i couldve seen had i been able to keep with it.
But yeah covid killed my march and april and some of may cycling wise… buttttt looking at 2019 in comparison, i had about 150+ hours which id be able to gap in the next coming weeks! So i guess i did alright considering that im not commuting to and from work (1h each way) or training for any event

Negatory.
COVID has turned things wonky at work again, work load and adhering to protocols are leaving me pretty knackered at the end of the day. Oh well, wish I coulda bottled some of that summertime pandemic fitness. :persevere:

on a semi-related note, is there a way to see annual hours on the TR calendar?

Pleasantly surprised with some of the numbers people are posting. Makes me feel better about spending 15-16 hours a week on the bike. Although i do wonder how people do it with families and commitments, which I essentially have none of.

305 hours this year, but currently taking a break due to COVID. Probably start taking it easy again next week. 88 of those hours have been on the cargo bike, mostly with 1-3 kids, cargo, or even my wife!

555h on the roadbike and mtb, 754h so far in total. I’ll most likely end up close to that 800h mark this year.

The other 200h is mainly nordic skiing and running.

It’s about 50h more then a normal year for me. With no travel days or easy days before competitions I just kept on riding…

350h! it means I’m on the lower end of the spectrum / congrats to all those who can spend far more time outdoor!

First structured training year got me some juicy gains, I’m sure there is more improvement ahead of us though. :slightly_smiling_face:
