How Long Can You Hold Peak Form?

Hey everyone! My A event in coming up at the end of April and I feel like my fitness is spectacular right now…which has me a little worried. I still have 27 days until my event. My current plan has me doing a recovery week this week, followed by two good weeks of training and then a taper for the week of the event.

Am I worrying for nothing?

Peak fitness can last from about 1 week to 1 month depending on various factors. This article has some more info if you’re interested:

If you haven’t started tapering yet, I wouldn’t worry too much! You’ll still get a couple of weeks of “sharpening” workouts in, and then your volume will drop off a bit before your goal event. I think it sounds like you’re on the right track here – your fitness is mostly built up at this point. Now it’s all about sharpening what you’ve worked so hard to gain as you approach your event. :flexed_biceps:
