How custom is custom?

Hi there,

I am wondering how individual the new TR AI training approach is:
When I create a custom plan, I enter my Event-Dates, training days, etc.
Then it loads a training plan into my calendar that is based on my training till now and my abilities.
But it looks like it is the old trainingplan system (with for example Tue: Vo2max, Wed: Endurance, Thu: Threshold, Sa: Sweetspot), but of course better adapted to my abilities.
I can say how many hours each day I have available and TR AI will give me the workouts, but all within the strict grid of the old plans (including the 3:1 or 2:1 ratio).

On the other hand I could use TrainNow, but then I don’t get any periodization.

Is this actually how it works or am I missing something?
I am asking because I wonder if TR AI is not used to it’s full potential.
My life is busy and the time I have available for training is changing very often. Wouldn’t TR AI be capable of an aproach like this:
I tell it how much time I have today and it chooses which energy system would benefit most from this amount of hours. I.E. if it’s just 45min: VO2max, if it’s 4h: Z2. All within a periodization based an my A/B Events.
Wouldn’t TR AI be able to find the best training approach for me personally, that maybe is different than the old Vo2max+Endurance+Threshold+Sweetspot every week and the classic 3:1 / 2:1 recovery week ratio?

Or is it already working like this and I just didn’t get it?
