I just started the Mid Volume IM base plan and Sundays alternate a long base run with a “not so long” base run one week to the next.
Any reason for this?
It’s probably like this in every tri plan. Long runs are every two weeks. Chad thinks it’s enough. The thinking must be that a long run every week would increase fatigue with no commensurate benefit.
it looks like too that overall the number of hours per week is getting bigger anyway even without a long run. Other runs during the week are longer when there is no typical long run weekend and shorter when a long run is schedule.
