When I setup my plan I chose “General Fitness” for both why I wanted a training plan and the goal. Doing some reading/podcasts it sounds like, for the average person, it’s best to focus on FTP first and build that up. My goal is just to increase my fitness level as much as possible by around 5/1 when I can hit the trails.(after that I’ll create a new plan that includes outdoor rides in MN) I like pushing myself hard and challenges. Just wondering if I should rebuild the plan with FTP as my goal and focus on that first?
For reference, I ride around 2500 miles a year on MTB trails. I’ll probably sign up for a couple MTB races this summer, but nothing is on the calendar. My current stats are 48yo, 261 FTP, 2.95W/kg ,195lbs and 6’1”. The TR AI estimate is at 285 FTP right now for 3/10.
