I haven’t had that. Last year was involved in a multi bike crash at 60kmh. The only damage was the steel plate came of the pedal that contacted the ground first. I was of the bike for 4 weeks
I have had the dual sided for one outdoor season. Love them! I put look pedals on and run power off of an Elite Kura trainer indoors.
Is anyone aware of an easy and FREE way to compare data files (overlap them). DC Rainmaker’s is $5 for a one time go. i.e. I run the pedals with my head unit to get a .fit file and run the trainer into trainerroad?
If you’ve done this already with the aforementioned pieces of gear, what were you results like?
I basically did exactly this to compare my dumb trainer’s virtual power to my duos. I ran a workout with my head unit (bolt) capturing actual power and TR capturing virtual using the speed sensor. Uploading both to the DCR Analyzer let me see that there was about an 8.5% inflation to my virtual power. One thing to watch out for is that I stopped pedaling at one point to pick up a dropped towel and my head unit auto-paused which kind of threw the two files off by a bit, however I was able to export the combined file and correct it.
Golden Cheetah has a compare screen.
Zwift Power has a file compare that works quite well and is free. I’ve been using it a lot recently chasing Powermatch issues and it has been really helpful.
I’ve used the DCR Analyzer a fair amount over the last couple of years. Maybe not enough to justify the subscription that I pay, but I figure it’s a good way to support him / the site, which I read avidly. The Analyzer tool is very good, mainly because it’s so easy to use.
Similar to TR in a way - there have been periods where I’ve barely used it through lengthy injuries, but I’ve maintained my subscription because I like the podcast and what they do.
Hi guys. I have Assioma Duo and i am super happy with powermeter … but … i have Tacx Neo 2 and today i did Ramp test after Sweet Spot Base High Volume 1.
Assioma: avg power: 192 watt | last 1min power 362 watt | FTP 272
Tacx Neo: avg power: 187 watt | last 1min power 350 watt | FTP 263
I do almost all my work outside, so should i use Assioma or Neo result ?
Stick to the Assioma for all workouts.
Enjoy those harder workouts
Yeah a bit of a reality check there won’t ride in a peloton with riders I don’t know
Assioma outdoors and indoors
@dan1xx I have the opposite problem. I’ve raised the Assioma Duos to +3% offset so now they are on par with my Tacx Neo. Since I train so much indoors I rather want to offset all other PM’s instead of relying on different ones. Neo is not possible to offset/calibrate so I trust Tacx in that regard.
Having an odd issue with crank length. I’ve changed it on my Garmin and on the app to 175mm. But every week or so, the app reverts it back to the default 172.5mm. Any way to fix this? They’re up to date, and the only apps/devices that use them are the Favero app, Garmin computer, and TR. I don’t think TR has the option, and Favero says the computer will take precedence. And it’s showing up as 175mm on my Garmin.
Yea, my Garmin has the correct 175mm. But the Assioma app still changes it to 172.5mm every so often. The weird thing is that the Assioma app will show 172.5mm, so I close the app and turn my Garmin on, and the Garmin shows 175mm. So it’s almost as if the Garmin isn’t overriding the Assioma app like it’s supposed to. Just annoying because I have to check every few days on the Assioma app to make sure the crank length is correct.
It is most likey just a default in the app. So every time you connect it appears as 172.5. The Garmin is setting it to 175 when it connects. The manaul declares that cycling computers override any previous value so I wouldn’t be worried about it.
I would not fret too much about it. You are probably causing the concern by checking with the app.
With my original Assiomas, they were within a few watts of my Kickr, but I got a warranty replacement, and they need to be set at +2.7% or so for it to match my Kickr.
They wanted me to calibrate my pedals with calibrated weights but that would cost me much more hassle and money than just to set the offset.
anyone else reserve a slot on favero’s website? they say the duos won’t be available for 60 days. really want to train with power outside since starting TR with my cycleops hammer. i see some on amazon for 840 which i assume are priced according to the existing shortage. can’t decide if i want to wait or just eat the cost now.
sigma sport in the uk have just today got new stock in from the manufacturer - might be worth checking when new stock is available directly from favero they must have stock if theyre shipping
