This does sound like very good post purchase customer service from them. Thanks for reporting on your experiences and the outcome and how they handled the problem.
No product is ever entirely flawless and with manufacturing of mass produced products there are bound to be some issues here and there. The real test is how the supplier / manufacturer handles the issues.
On this instance it appears the answer to that question is - very well.
