Favero assioma duo-shimano power meter - slight play and slight "grindy" noise when spinning pedal on the spindle

Hi,
I have a favero assioma duo-shimano power meter. Being using over a year without any issues, and still read correctly etc. I’ve noticed very slight play on the spindle where the actual pedal meet (so there is a bit of play on the pedal), when compared to shimano pedals on other bikes. Also when I spin the pedal when stationary I can here a kind of “grindy” noise. Not really aware of the noise when cycling.

Short answer does anyone have any details/recommendations for any maintenance? I had the cycle shop install the power meter into the pedals, as I didnt have a torque wrench at the time. The only thing from the manual I know really are not to apply any grease, and to have the spacer/washer between the pedal and the crank.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Colin

This is a known issue. What i’ve done is take the pedals off the cranks, removed the pedal bodies. Then I take the outer spindle housing off by removing the small nut on the end of the axle, then put some grease on the actual spindle and reassemble. It helps with the grinding noise, and removes some of the play. So far I’ve done it twice which seems to be about every six months. Also, fyi - the black small bolt turns opposite to remove and tighten.
