No “have to” there. Just one random dude’s opinion on the 'net… and we both know what that’s worth 
but now i am curious to see if there would be a difference…
But going back to the original topic, I havent really had any issues with power issues. I have learnt to understand my trainer. For example I know it’s not quick to respond to something like Spanish needle in erg mode.
as long as you keep your cadence consistent, the power number for the block should even out.
