Early Access to Android Beta - Updated TrainerRoad

I’m sitting on my trainer ready to do today’s workout but can’t as when I load Monitor -1 I get the following…

THAT’S IT, that’s the weird thing I saw. (Backing out and hitting the ‘refresh’ button in the upper right fixed it for me.)

After backing out and hitting the refresh button as ellothrth says fixed the problem and I was able to start my workout.

About 4 minutes into the warm up the middle section which has the zoomed in interval and the slideable option with interval cadence, tss etc went black and never came back again.

The new powermatch worked really well set at 0.5. It felt very smooth.

The workout completed and uploaded perfectly.

Thanks

For some reason the app calendar is showing 2 Monitor -1 workouts even though the web calendar is showing just 1.

I’ve tried hitting the refresh but it makes no difference. Its maybe just a delay thing. I’ll check later. (Just checked and the doubles gone).

Just switched a workout from today to Saturday via app. Worked perfectly :slightly_smiling_face:

Hmmmmm, my duplicated workout for today has reappeared

When I click on the TR app icon it takes “exactly” 22 seconds to load up. Waaaaaaayyyyyy too long.

By the way, for those of us still on the fence for getting in the beta (my main problem is ant+ functionality) what is the changelog for it

What features to look out for on the app
etc, so we know what behaviors to expect and which to flag and maybe try to focus on those areas that you have implemented that we might be aware of
This feels like when i do UATs at work except i’ll be on the other side of it ahah

13 seconds from opening the app to seeing calendar loaded up… seems rather slow.

First workout was seamless. Calibration was quick and easy. Workout worked as prescribed. It felt like I was just using the normal app.

When I finished the workout though, the app did crash after a short bit. When j opened it, the data for the workout was there, but this fuzzy visual was on the workout.

Will be testing the scaling of workouts in the ride tomorrow to see if there’s anything off there.

Except that we’re not that close to UAT yet (says another sw tester by profession). :grinning:

Beta is a beta. But I know that we’re getting there. :+1:

I had this happen today: it disappeared, came back, then disappeared again. I tried to see if it’s a feature (i.e., drag the data panel down to enlarge) but couldn’t make it work.

Swipe left on workout screen to get to workout data summary: The fonts are a bit too large, causing misalignment of the fields

Also, “POW” seems like an unusual abbreviation for Power…I would have expected “PWR”

Yesterday’s workout won’t show image.

Won’t show analysis.

Tomorrow’s workout won’t show image.

Won’t load either.

The app is unusable for me at this point.

Just installed the latest update and it’s still taking over 20 seconds to start up/load.

Have you tried clearing the app cache and erasing the app data, and then reopening the app and letting it do the sync again?

received an update on my Samsung Mobile phone, it looks better now, can take a look on it after work, hopefully on Samsung Tablet too:

Yep, the audio cues never worked for me on Android. Also the cadence line and workout finish time are welcome additions that I like from desktop.

Any news on whether the you can toggle ERG/resistance in-workout, or change % +/- of resistance mode in-workout? This is the biggest issue for me in Android. Doesn’t seem like it would take up additional room on the screen, so seems like a no-brainer to have that additional functionality so as not to disturb workouts when changing mode.

Yeah, it’s there. When you select the N paired label (bottom right) during a workout, it pops up a dialog that lets you flip back and forth between Erg and resistance, and adjust the resistance slider. I did it today, worked great, way easier than the old app.

Ah swiping screens! Excellent - much easier and more intuitive than trying to tap the little arrow!
