Doing Zwift races during TR training plan

I did my first ever Zwift race today and really enjoyed it. Just 40 mins and was placed in a too-easy category for my first time, but still…

Am wondering what’s the best way to integrate Zwift races during a running TR training plan. Am currently doing an FTP Increase plan with no real event in mind, just get fitter for spring. My priority is the TR plan, but the occasional virtual race is a nice bit of variety, like once or twice a month.

Any recommendations for how best to combine them without compromising my TR plan?

If you do them regularly, you can now schedule them into your training plan.

If you’re more of an occasional racer, then I’d probably just replace one of your hard workouts with that race. Don’t try to add a race effort to an already full week. :sweat_smile:
