I’m glad that Mike’s Bikes is doing well, from this news.

Edit: I did not realize this,

Mike’s Bikes is owned by Pon Holdings BV, a Dutch conglomerate in the transportation sector, according to Wikipedia. It is said to be one of the five largest bike manufacturers worldwide and “owns bicycle brands Caloi, Cannondale, Cervélo, Derby Cycle (owner of Focus), GT, Gazelle, IronHorse, Kalkhoff, Mongoose, Santa Cruz, Urban Arrow (cargo bikes), Veloretti, and Schwinn, among others.”

Yeah this was a whole big thing a few years ago when Pon bought Mikes. They were a specialized dealer before that if you believe the letter that Mikes Bikes sent out, Specialized immediately terminated their existing agreement in a particularly messy way.

but that’s kinda expected, yes it was messy and they (specialized) could have handled better given that it seems they sop shipping of products already ordered and such. but no way they would continue with Mike’s

does anyone know of a deal on a core 2 temp sensor?

Assioma Pro RS2 $675USD here: https://www.lordgun.com/favero-assioma-pro-rs-2-power-meter-pedals-1

Bought a set and they were delivered to the US within about 3 days without issue. Over $100 savings compared to buying from Favero direct

It seems I have no idea how any of the tariffs/duties work. I know it used to be anything under $800 you were fine but I thought that was eliminated and now tariffs/duties were applied to everything with some exceptions but bike parts wouldn’t be on an exempted list to my knowledge

The de minimis exception for parcels under $800 was only removed for China I believe. Should still be in effect for other countries.

Ah. Okay. A quick google seems to confirm that. Thanks

I’ve bought quite a few things from Europe since the tariffs and had no issues. Garmin 1040, 165mm cranks, the pedals.

Same.

I bought Assioma pedals from Bikeinn and got dinged by UPS for $100 extra.

Oh no! I guess that is going to be me later this week. Did you ask them about the “no import fees” on their product page?

(not sure when you bought them as the situation is maddeningly incoherent)

This was definitely what I was concerned about

I get excited then always forget Favero pedals are always excluded

New Sram stuff is excluded too, but it works on the older stuff. Back in the day they never charged sales tax and coupons worked on everything. :smiling_face_with_tear:

lol

We never use to pay sales tax on Amazon. :squinting_face_with_tongue:Garmin just prices their power pedals so high that even with the discount the full price Faveros are still cheaper.

In the EU the street price for Pro RS-2 and Rally Rs200 is almost the same.

Really good deals on Kuat racks as part of the sale for those in need.

core temp sensor excluded :frowning: that’s a bummer otherwise great deal if you happen to need $250 worth of stuff
