This is the reason I’d like a native solution from Stages. The SB20 is a beast, so any solution that I have to add / remove from it is really a no go. Plus the concern you raise - the foam crushing - is exactly what happened with the gel I tested. It was great for about a week, and then got completely destroyed.

Any sram deals going on? I might be in the market for an XPLR group set for a frame, but need a fairly decent discount to make the custom build economical. Thanks!
Saw this in an email this week:

I started out with this system and now it is sitting in my garage in a box unused. I bought a soda stream and an adapter to fit on a large co2 tank. I now fill up the soda stream canister from the big tank. Its just convenient for the whole family to fill up their own bottles. I get many soda stream canister refills from the big tank. I think I go through around 2 big tanks a year and I drink 2 liters a day by myself.
Oh cool. What do you need to fill the small tank from the big tank?
I was wondering the same and found this with Google. I haven’t done it yet, and some of the reviews point out issues, but it gave me a good idea to dive into. How Do You Refill SodaStream CO2 Bottles? – Advanced Mixology
I use something like this
Not exactly sure what I ordered and I ordered it from ali express.
There is an issue as all newer valves on the soda stream tanks have a anti fill valve and you have to slowly open the main tank and very slowly fill the soda stream cylinder or the valve will close and filling will stop.
I also bought one of these as it replaces the soda stream valve so you can fill it quickly.

Its no longer available but its something like this.
Whatever you buy make sure it works for your region. The eu and North America have different standards.
Also you have to flip the large gas cylinder upside down when you are refilling.
You also need to freeze your empty cylinders before filling
Oh I also pickup my c02 at the local coca cola distributor. I think its about $45.00 a tank but I know its safe.
I think it last over 6 months and like I said we are making at least 2 liters a day.
I like it but I also have had perineal issues so I use an SQ Labs 612 saddle which has a step design where I put more pressure on sit bones than typical saddles, so it’s nice having the extra padding for long rides. That said, everyone is different!
$20 including shipping for refurbished Eufy smart scale.
I haven’t used this brand/model,
Household versions are good for seeing trends, but have substantial margins of error.
That said I bought a second hand Garmin and use it to see the trends over the long term.

FYI: I just built out a version of these myself and will let you know how long they hold up (going to take some measurements of the height of the foam over time). They’re working really great so far from a comfort perspective.
I’m propping the bike up on some cardboard between rides to keep it off the foam when not in use.
Great idea…thought about doing it with yoga blocks but figured the foam would be too stiff. Putting those holes in the middle will definitely provide more give… Might just have to give it a try!
For anyone heading this direction, I highly recommend adding a rigid center support under the bike feet. Pure loading on the foam will lead to compression set in many materials.
Once you add a rigid support (aka fulcrum) you will reduce the loading on the “foam springs”. They will last a LOT longer once they are just doing more lateral lean support vs holding up the whole bike and yourself.
Dead simple sketch here that shows a front/rear view of the smart bike (gray rectangles), supported in the middle with a rigid support (red circle) and the foam springs on the side (green lines) all sitting on a floor (black rectangle). People have used simple 2"x2" type lumber, round tube or dowels and such as the center support, so there are a number of options.
$70/each for 30mm seems like a great deal.
