After some delays, they announced shipping started today, which means mine should arrive sometime…soon (I will update the other thread when it does). They also announced that they will be selling a retail version through Sports Tiedje for 199EUR.

For some additional money off, Pactimo also gives rewards points for completing reviews on previous purchases (on a per-item basis)

I got some baselayers, toe covers, caps, etc from them in the fall, and just used review points on top of the current sale to get a pair of bibs for $30

Thanks for mentioning that. This option seems to be easy to get, easy to mount, maintenance-free, and overall the least-hassle way of giving the SB20 some motion, so I went ahead and ordered one today. With DHL shipping only EUR20, I got that too… let’s see when it arrives in NJ, USA.

I’m probably the person who got the rocker from Pedevilla, and it didn’t work out great. I could never get my SB20 aligned perfectly along the centerline, so the motion always felt off. Sort of like being in a car and hitting a speed bump at a slight angle.

The SB20 is sooo relatively heavy, I haven’t found a good way to add slight motion. I’ve even tried simply get padding under the feet, but that got crushed in less than a week.

I think the best solution would be if Stages made feet like the Kickr Axis feet

Yup…you were correct. Got it yesterday let the air out of a few tires and checked it out. It is an awesome pump.

Some really good pricing on Pactimo bibs….

Indeed, thanks for confirming. I was not up to full speed and struggled to remember exactly who had it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Little bit different sort of deal but these things are better than soda stream cause you can carbonate any drinks.

I have a soda stream and the wife and I use it a ton. We go through a LOT of sparkling water. I’m not sure it’s cheaper, but it means I’m not using all those plastic bottles any more! If you’re in the US, we exchange the used CO2 containers and they are a great thing to use all those Bed Bath and Beyond coupons on.

Buyer a larger tank then refill it yourself. It cost us $15 for a tank refill and that fills up 10 60l bottles.

I actually prefer the vectors even though they have a lower hour rating (4-6 hour rides). Indo have both hands like them, bit the stratos sometimes is a little too form fitting for me. I like vector cut a bit more as well. I’m sure I’m in the minority. Fwiw, I’m a bigger rider about 190lbs.

Got a recommendation? I didn’t realize this was an option.

You can buy any tank they are all interchangeable. Or to make it even easier just drill a hole so you can have it directly connected.

you can just buy something like this

and then go to any home-brew place and it works like propane refills, you buy the CO2 tank the first time, and then it’s $15-20 a refill, and the tanks last months. Saves a ton of money and waste.

Only real downside is portability, you need a good place to keep the tank and run the hose to it. Also, because at least for me, there’s a trace amount of leakage if you leave the tank “open” all the time, so I tend to open and close the valve between uses, which is a bit more of pain, and may just be me not making sure it’s sealed well enough at both ends.

Interesting. Thanks!

Take a look at this guy’s solution: DIY Stages Bike Rockerplate - YouTube

Summit Stratos chamois is great for long rides. It’s thicker and the bibs have nice compression. The Summit Raptor is a little less padding but also solid compression. Both of these have nice straps. I love both and they are a big step up from Continental and Ascent series IMO.

I wish the guy would sell this. I would buy it in a heartbeat. It’s exactly what is needed. But something like the Wahoo Axis feet would do the same thing

Yeah, I think the other trick here is removing the bike from the foam when you’re not using it. If you can jack it off the foam pads and rest it on something like wood, that’ll keep the foam lasting a lot longer.
