this just means they’re using carbon plys where all the carbon is oriented in the same direction, as opposed to a biaxial or triaxial weave or stitch where strands in the same ply are oriented in opposing directions, ie 0º 90º or +/- 45º, etc. UD is the most common laminate in carbon bikes, so kinda silly that they call it out but it has become a bit of a buzzword

I thought the 11 speed would have been cheaper than the 12. Was curious why it hasn’t dropped yet. I figure there is more of that to go around than the 12 spd.
Yeah, that’s what I would think. Not like anyone putting 11SP Ultegra or DA on new bikes now.

To add to this, I HIGHLY recommend upgrading to Race+, even if you have no interest in ever racing. The insurance covers (I think) up to $20k USD for medical care for anything cycling related, be it a race crash or on your commuter bike going to the grocery store. I had a crash last year and between Race+ and my normal medical coverage, I had no out of pocket expenses from the ER or follow up appointments and OT. That extra few dollars for the added coverage saved me thousands!
