Deals / Sales / Discounts for Cycling "Stuff" (2023)

Di2 parts, wires, and routing gets demystified at https://bettershifting.com/

appreciate it. Got some good deals, wish I didn’t miss the sales on earlier things. Only need to get a crankset and TT items now. Much cheaper!

That’s a great resource. Thanks for sharing.

Kona is doing Buy One, Get One Free on their Process. Good opportunity to get you and your SO a mountain bike, or a trail and enduro bike for yourself.

Man, That is actually a killer deal. Kinda wish my 7 year old was bigger. I’d jump on that.

Dude, an incredible deal, despite being almost professional in Brazil, I still use a mechanical group, so for the first time I’m going to use di2, I ended up looking at the website for assembly, in my opinion see the 4-entry door is missing.

The four-port EW-JC304 isn’t compatible with the 105 shifters, those MUST be run wirelessly. The only reason to use the JC304 with Ultegra or DA is if you want a wired system.

Your SD300 wires are probably too short for the RD, unless you have a really small bike. RD wire length should be: chainstay length + seattube length + 50-100mm.

I don’t think theres any reason to need more than 2 wires for a typical 105 build.

Longer SD300 wires can be found cheap on Amazon and Jenson too, FYI. Way below MSRP.

Also, my recommendation is to splurge at least for the Ultegra cassette. That adds HG+ shifting ramps. But maybe it’s already sold out…

Thanks to this thread more $$$ is spent once again but I get to join the di2 family.

Pieced together the following for roughly $1300 CAD
Ultegra 8170 di2 Shifters and brakes from Merlin: $750 CAD
Ultegra 8150 di2 RD and di2 battery from TPC: $280 CAD
Ultegra 8150 di2 FD from local bikestore: $250 CAD

Now I’ll just need to source some SD300 wires and di2 charger and I’ll be all set!

Y’all please let us know when a deal like this happens for SRAM Red or Force components! :pray:t2:

BTD has a Red ‘kit’ for ~$1900. just need a chain, cassette, and crankset.

Planet Cyclery has a 1st gen Force kit(same as above) for ~$1200

I’ve been very happy with my EliteWheels Pro33s. I ride them pretty rough and have had no issues. I would buy them again. There are a ton of 15% off codes floating around the web too.

light bicycle recon pro rims w/ dt swiss 240 hubs and sapim spokes build up to about 1200g and run about $1300 USD… that’s gonna be tough to beat. google and you can get 3% off for posting to FB and they run 10% off deals several times a year. no experience with them except reading a lot and having a plan in the future to buy when i can stack on a few discounts.

If you want to stay name brand from what i have read specialized roval controls for $1350 look to be about the best you can do under $1500 and under 1500 g, but they seem tough to find. can’t believe how scarce specialized stuff continues to be.

In this day and age, i’d consider LightBicycle wheels to be “name brand”.

My haul from The Pro’s Closet. $722 for everything in the picture shipped. I went with Dura-Ace levers because I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Ultegra levers would have saved $100.

I also bought a full 105 Di2 group that hasn’t arrived yet for a whopping $448. Going to throw it on the gravel/CX bike.

Are the DA 9270 shifters still there? Is this the link for the actual pair or just the right/rear side?
