Just snagged the Saris TD1 Trainer desk for $108.99 from Best Buy. Crazy overpriced @$360 before…

They are not… Although I do plan to get new latex tubes now that I am switching trainers

If I were buying today, I would buy the RAD desk, but that is an amazing price for the Saris, and I love that it has a power strip built in.

Damn, was hoping they had the MP1!

Don’t really need another desk, but that is a creaming deal and I would prefer one with outlets over my KOM desk, so….

That was my EXACT thought! (I have a KOM desk but i want power… on it)

I also would get the RAD desk.
Just get an extension cord that can be screwed on such as this and a couple zip ties of the cord to the leg and it’s done.

The RAD desk is very nice, but I don’t see why I would pay more for a desk that I then need to to modify.

If modding is an option, it’s easy and cheap to add castors to the Saris one. So its possibe to make the Saris or Rad have the feature it lacks with minimal effort. Choose on price and looks.

I would be worried about those big open areas on the legs of the Saris. My wife would find a way to hit those, bruise or bleed, and then blame me for it

Best Buy also has other Saris products heavily discounted (trainer desk - $108.99 and mat/block - $39.99).

Yeah, that is an odd design element….maybe I’ll use them to hang my towels on after the ride.

OK, while completely ridiculous that thing is actually pretty impressive. Note the secondary, mid-drivetrain derailleur to help with chain tension!

My old neighborhood had a similar type bike, taller I think, with some sort of pedal assist motor. He was always riding around the neighborhood on that or some other weird motorized thing he had built up.

10% off their “bike of the week”…Definitely get alot for the money.

They talked about the Lauf price drops on the latest Geek Squad podcast. There are some smoking deals there. The rigid bike with full Force AXS and carbon wheels is $4K. By comparison, a Force AXS Crux is $8K. Not wholly apples to apples, but still a smoking good deal.

@rkoswald just wanted to make sure you saw this if you’re still on the hunt for a gravel bike!
