Coming Soon: See Your Fitness Before You Get There :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

See how your training shapes your future FTP

AI FTP Detection is getting even better, with improved accuracy and better handling of edge cases so your FTP stays aligned with your real fitness.

But that’s just the start!

Without a clear view of where your fitness is headed, it’s easy to lose confidence and question whether your training is working.

That’s why we’re introducing TrainerRoad AI FTP Prediction.

AI FTP Prediction shows you a live forecast of where your FTP is trending based on your training, so you can train with confidence and clarity.

What Athletes Are Saying

We’ve been testing it with real athletes and their feedback has been amazing.

“What really stands out is how effortless everything feels now. I don’t have to second guess the workout choices, progression, or whether I’m doing the ‘right’ thing. The system understands my capabilities and adapts with a level of precision and transparency I haven’t seen before.” — Beta Tester ::woman_technologist::

There’s so much more to it, including a feature that predicts fatigue long before it happens so you can avoid burnout, and a new way of managing zone 2 training, so stay tuned as we share more details leading up to launch day, and sign up now at TrainerRoad.com to be ready to use TrainerRoad AI as soon as it launches.

I predict the number 1 topic of the forum in 2026 is the many different versions of “FTP predictor said I would improve by X and I only improved by Y…….”

If I over shoot its predicted outcome do I get a prize?

At least it’ll give us something to respond to while we should be working

Or “my “FTP” increased, but I’m not any faster/can’t hold it in the real world”.

will there be an additional fee for this added feature?

A Strava touché

Well, I have been able to do this for 5-8 years with a simple algorithm (no AI), however the error range was not brilliant, but decent, usable, interesting to see if AI TR is any better.

Alhough I look at others results, not sure I will re-subscribe.

Same when aiFTP was launched, looking only at my data, I could tell my ftp far more accurately than aiftp for myself. To be fair that is easy when doing threshold intervals.

Surely you mean…

Resting and not stressing.

Lots of “soon” and never a date. Looks very dodgy

Just when I resolved to chase consistency over FTP

Nice feature! Seems that finally the gras becomes greener on the TR side again  .

Would it be an option for this feature to have a dialogue that you feed with a desired FTP value and it shows you the easiest path and needed workouts / time commitment to reach that goal?

The other thing that comes to mind is some kind of distinction between highest possible FTP versus lower FTP, but higher TTE.

Wondering how this is going to be different from what Xert has already been doing?

While this sounds like a great feature, I’m also thinking back a few months to when the TR crew was talking about ‘blurring’ our workouts more than a few days out, because they didn’t want people to stress about them. And now they’re saying they are going to show us our future (predicted) FTP? How many people are going to see a (predicted) decrease at some future point, and freak out? And then start changing around workouts to try to get to a (predicted) increase? It will definitely be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Yeah, this feature seems toxic as hell. Also totally overvalues FTP as a metric as usual.
