Long story, but I actually ended up putting the Cervelo stem on this bike, and now it is lined up for sale to a third party. I think the solution that I came up with would have probably worked, but I just ended up not deciding to keep this bike, after a lot of back and forth.
Ups, not good to hear. May I please know your reasons? Disappointed with ride quality? Technical issues?
Actually I am having 2nd thoughts waiting for the frameset as I have found out couple of things I didnāt expect:(
I wanted an endurance frame for more comfortable geometry but realised Caledonia 5 is as aggresive as Cannondale Supersix (Cervelo somehow counts 7mm headset spacer to the stack number) plus its stem is -9 degrees.
I canāt put there FSA ACR stem because it is sold out everywhere.
I canāt fit 73 degree seat tube with 25mm setback seatpost on top of that - combined with racing bike reach numbers it is simply too longā¦i thought i would buy zero offset seatpost but Cervelo told me it hasnāt been available for some time and they donāt know when to expect new batchā¦
Honestly, mine was kind of an impulse purchase that ended up with me having 2.5 complete bikes laying around, only one of which was being used consistently. Decided it was not worth it to keep crowding my shed/garage with bikes I donāt get much of a chance to ride.
