Celebrating completion of workouts

I do the fist pump thing sometimes when I finish…
But I work out in front of an open window in a busy Brooklyn street. The most embarrassing is that most of the time I try to get pump or psych myself right before a high vo2 effort, with loud music, dancing and head banging. I’m too much in the zone to see if people are checking me out then lol

I see them sometimes looking up to see what I’m doing, but like all New Yorker no one really cares lol

Steve, you’re talking about one of life’s great joys. Nothing better than pushing through a hard workout with great tunes playing. #nirvana

Great post. It’s all about the journey. Everybody else’s opinions are irrelevant. Unless you want to impress your cycling buddies. That’s relevant.

Ha! Yes! Glad it’s not just me.
I still smirk at myself for my ecstatic fist pump when i crossed the line on Sufferfest “Hell Hath No Fury” after an FTP reset up to 330W back in the spring. I didn’t fade and held it to the end. I earned that glory!

My wife always makes fun of me after the ramp test because I scream so much during the final minutes. Some of the things I say cannot be posted here hehe… I always train in the morning so she complains I will wake up the neighbours. :slightly_smiling_face:

I really love how indoor trainer behaviour/etiquette is completely different than outdoor training & races.:rofl:

Lolz… My 8 year old witnessed me during the end of vo2 max workout… She was genuinely concerned if im ok and not collapsing on a bike. Wife doesn’t even peek into pain cave, cuz she can hear all grunting/swearing when Dorito’s erg mode tries to disagree with me. Selebration part is usually a minute of silence while I try to get my shit together :flushed:. Am i doing it wrong?
