I have an Elite Suito trainer that I use with the TR software for my training. I have confirmed that the Elite Suito is about 50w higher than any of my on-bike sensors. I am not expecting them to be exactly the same, but this large delta causes me to be in a full new training zone - especially using erg mode. This is true even if I use the TR software to calibrate the Elite Suito PM.
Is there a way in the software to manually change the offset of my PM by ~50w?
TrainerRoad can’t/won’t adjust the power it receives from your trainer. You’d have to look into your trainer to see if you’re able to adjust the Slope to match your other power meters. However, a quick internet search showed it’s not possible. The only thing I found is to ensure that all your firmware is up-to-date and your calibration/zero offset procedure is done correctly per the manufacturer instructions.
I’d recommend using the bike that has the power meter on the trainer and running Powermatch setting in TrainerRoad.
I’d recommend ensuring that your trainer is up to date with the most recent firmware, and also that it’s been calibrated to that manufacturer’s spec. Additionally, it doesn’t hurt to unplug your trainer overnight every now and then to ensure that there isn’t any weird data stuck inside.
Are you 100% sure that it’s the trainer that’s off?
What are you comparing it to?
If you have a power meter that you’re using when riding outside, you could enable PowerMatch which helps to eliminate the discrepancies between a power meter and a smart trainer as best as possible.
Put the Suito up for sale and buy a new trainer. It might be worth a pretty penny if you can document the additional 50W. I Know some people who would do almost anything to better their chances for glory in their online racing career
